An Overview of Transit Options in and Around Vancouver

Vancouver’s Transit network isn’t very thorough within the City itself, but it’s great if you live and work in different cities. Your options include everything from multiple “subway” lines, a thorough bus network, ferries, and trains. New options and destinations are always being considered with a subway line heading West down Broadway being the next major addition.

Here is an overview to your transit options, as well as links to websites where you can plan your trips – useful if you’re moving to a new neighbourhood and need to know how you’ll get to work, school and family and friends houses!

An Overview of Vancouver Neighbourhoods

I love Vancouver. Obviously the fresh air, snow capped mountains, ocean breeze and gorgeous sunsets are a huge factor, but the neighbourhoods and people are what really make this City home.

I’ve lived in a few different areas, and spend my days bouncing between neighbourhoods, so I have some insights, opinions and favourite spots from each. Each neighbourhood has a different feel for folks with different lifestyles and commutes. I currently live in Mount Pleasant – a vibrant yet lush area with a youthful vibe, creative businesses and a lot to be excited about.

Have a look below at my neighbourhood recaps for Vancouver, as well as an overview of some of the lovely cities nearby.
